Last four draw made for cup!

By David Watters

The five clubs still hoping to lift the Southern League Challenge Cup this season are preparing to meet after the draw for the semi-finals was made on Wednesday.

After knocking out Barnstaple Town on Tuesday night with a 2-1 quarter-final victory at Mill Road, Steve Claridge's EVO-STIK League Southern Salisbury were rewarded with a trip to top flight Hayes & Yeading United when the draw was made at the EVO-STIK League Southern's headquarters in Gloucester.

The single leg semi-finals will be played in the week commencing 27 February with EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division St Ives Town now looking forward to hosting either Bishops Cleeve or Aylesbury United at their Pro-Edge Stadium after Tuesday night's other quarter-final clash between the clubs fell foul of the weather. The postponed tie at Kayte Lane has been rescheduled for Tuesday 21 February.

Merthyr Town lifted the cup in 2016 and this season's semi-finals will go straight to penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes.
