Mid-table Larkhall Athletic dealt a massive blow to Bristol Manor Farm`s outside hopes of automatic promotion with a 2-0 win at Plain Ham on Wednesday night.
The Larks had a great start when they opened the scoring after just 4 minutes when an error from Farm `keeper Ashley Clark left Aysa Corrick with a simple tap-in from close range.
After conceding that early goal, the high-flying visitors took time to get into the game, but gradually got on top towards the end of the first half when they forced home `keeper Shaun Semmens into a couple of decent saves.
And the visitors put Larkhall under considerable pressure in the second period, with Neil Arndale clearing one effort from former Lark Corey Simpson off the line.
But Farm weren`t able to find the equaliser and they were punished 5 minutes from time when sub Joe Tumelty fired past Clark for his 20th goal of the season to win it for the home side and leave fourth-placed Manor Farm looking now at securing a play-off spot, currently holding a four-point lead on seventh-placed AFC Totton, who have just two games left, and five of the eighth and ninth-placed sides one of which, Didcot Town, have four games remaining.
