Hucker, pictured, left Fairfax Park by mutual consent a day after their heavy 6-0 reverse at play-off chasing Mangotsfield United and just over two months since agreeing to take over until the end of the season following Craig Laird's January departure for Dorchester Town.
The Robins paid tribute to the former chief scout for Weston-super-Mare who took over in difficult circumstances at the rock-bottom club with 20 games to go and relegation from the EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One South & West looking a near certainty.
In a statement naming striker Dave Pearse as caretaker manager for their trip to Salisbury on Tuesday, the Robins said: "The club would like to place on record their sincere thanks for all his efforts during his time in charge of the squad."
With the priority on giving youth a chance in their remaining matches, Hucker was widely praised by fans on social media for his efforts and the improvement supporters had seen in their side since his arrival.
Responding on Facebook he told fans: "I would personally like to thank all the players and especially the supporters for all your hard work, effort and commitment during my time as manager, so sorry to leave the club."
