The Gunners are returning to Top Field early next month to give the Canaries a game 54 years after providing the opposition for a floodlights inauguration match at the ground back on 27 November 1962.
Delighted officials at the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division club announced the confirmation of the fixture on Thursday after the Premier League giants agreed that an Arsenal XI would make fitting opposition for the 7.45pm kick-off in Hertfordshire on Thursday 10 November.
In a statement promising to update fans with further news on the friendly as preparations [progress, Hitchin Town secretary Roy Izzard thanked Arsenal.
He said: "Hitchin Town FC are extremely grateful to Arsenal for such a magnificent gesture. It seems almost perfect that the game will take place 54 years to the month from the original game with an Arsenal XI returning to Top Field."
