Gosport Borough's Community Day Launched

Pitch concerns have prompted the cancellation of Boro's opening home friendly but something special is happening next weekend instead.

Gosport Borough have cancelled next weekend's scheduled home friendly against Petersfield Town after it was revealed the Privett Park pitch will not be ready in time.

However, in an exciting announcement last night, GBFC HQ launched the 2017 GBFC Community Day which will now be held in its place next Saturday (15th July).

The family friendly event, being organised by the Club's Community Officer Becky Stares, will include the chance to watch the Boro' players train and talk to them in a chance to "meet and greet"

The game versus Petersfield Town was cancelled after the Privett playing surface was found to be behind in it's progress after summer renovation work.

At present, Boro's remaining home friendlies against Lymington Town (Friday 21st) and Bognor Regis Town (Friday 28th) remain in place but could be subject to revised dates or cancellation.
