Frome Earn Comfortable Win

By Jack Moore

Frome Town moved up to tenth in the Evo-Stik League South Premier after beating Stratford Town 3-0 at The Special Effect Stadium on Wednesday night.

Frome took the lead a quarter-of-an-hour in when a cross was half-cleared to Kris Miller, who fired the loose ball past Stratford `keeper Louis Connor into the far corner.

That was how the scoreline remained at the break and then just shy of the hour-mark, Frome doubled their advantage when Ryan Bath headed home from a corner to make it 2-0.

And the game was put to bed after 74 minutes when Darren Jefferies` effort was saved by Connor, but Ollie Knight followed up to tap in number three.

Stratford`s best opportunity came in the 78th minute when a Ben Stephens header on the six-yard line produced a fine save from Frome `keeper Kyle Phillips.
