Cambridge United defender signs for Royston Town

By Jack Moore

Royston Town have signed Cambridge United defender Harry Darling on loan – and the defender made his Crows debut in Tuesday night's Herts Senior Cup win.

Central defender Harry was handed a three-year professional deal in October 2016, following his impressive progression with the U’s youth team.

First joining United as a twelve-year old, he has also spent time in the Newmarket Town academy. A quick and intelligent young defender, Harry made his first-team debut in the EFL Trophy encounter with Scunthorpe last season. He subsequently enjoyed a one-month loan spell with National League South side Bishops Stortford. After making several appearances for the U’s during the early fixtures of the 2017/18 campaign, Harry penned an extension to his contract keeping him at the Cambs Glass Stadium until June 2021.
