A second half collapse meant Bideford tasted defeat for the first time in six at North Leigh on Saturday.
Bideford took the lead on 16 minutes as Craig Duff finished well from a Sean Downing flick on but North Leigh levelled things after 38 minutes as George Seacole's drive beat Steve Oliver. Just a minute later The Robins regained the lead as Duff headed home his second from a free kick.
For all their good work in the first period, Bideford surrendered the game in a crazy eight minute spell in the second half where the hosts found the net three times. Matt Grabe's left foot strike on 54 minutes made it 2-2, then Dejon Noel-Williams rounded Oliver to put the hosts in front four minutes later before Seacole got his second with an effort from the edge of the box.
The Robins were stunned and despite a late rally could not salvage a point from a game they were in control of. Connor Waldron was shown a second yellow for the home side with 13 minutes to go and James Mayne's late strike, his first for the club, proved to be little more than a consolation for Bideford.
