Cleeve knew different and finally got that result .. a win !!
It took a dozen attempts, but Bishops Cleeve finally broke their duck in the Evo-Stik League South West on Tuesday night.
Cleeve beat Shortwood United 4-0 at home to record their first win of the 2017/18 season.
Ben Tunicliff opened the scoring after just 6 minutes – and that was the half-time score.
Joe Bates then made it 2-0 with 66 minutes gone on the clock, with Elliot Kennedy on 72 minutes and then Paul Ireland 6 minutes later making the home players celebrate for the first time this season.
