On an otherwise miserable evening, the Essex visitors finally triumphed 5-3 in a tie that saw both sides finish with ten-men and the goalkeeper earn extra-time!
The drama started after 17 minutes when the home side had Mitchell Wiseman sent-off for bringing down Bowers` experienced forward David Knight on the edge of the area after he was clean through.
Knight punished the Sarnies further by firing the resulting free-kick into the bottom corner.
But Brendan Matthew pulled the ten-men back on level terms 4 mkinutes before the break.
The second half see-sawed and then with 12 minutes remaining, Bowers` Jamie Salmon was also dismissed for an alleged stamp on an Egham defender to make it ten-aside.
And it seemed that the home side had won the right to play Bostik Premier side Margate on Saturday when Matthew scored in the 91st minute.
However, a last-gasp corner saw Bowers` keeper Callum Chafer come forward and he placed a perfect header into the far corner to make it 2-2 and force an extra 30 minutes.
Sub Lewis Manor made it 3-2 to the visitors in the 109th minute, only for Matthew to complete his hat-trick from a 117th minute penalty.
But less than a minute later, Knight popped up to make it 4-3 and Tony Stokes grabbed a fifth in the last minute of extra-time to complete a remarkable win.
