Dynamic duo are new joint bosses

Paul Hughes and Ritchie Hanlon are the new joint managers EVO-STIK League Southern Hayes & Yeading United.

The duo were named as the successors to Mickey Lewis on Wednesday night after leaving EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division rivals Kings Langley.

In a statement announcing their appointment, officials said caretaker manager and director of football Tristan Lewis would hold the fort for the final time on Saturday for their top flight clash at Chippenham Town. Unveiled three weeks after Lewis stood down, the pair are set to take charge for the first time next Tuesday night at Ryman Premier Harrow Borough in the Middlesex Senior Challenge Cup.

Hughes and Hanlon enjoyed three seasons of success at the Kings, guiding the club to three successive promotions from the Spartan South Midlands Division One to the EVO-STIK League Southern's Premier Division. They'll be supported by Lewis, who is returning to his former role of director of football and overseeing the club’s academy sides.

Hayes & Yeading United chairman Tony O’Driscoll said: "We are delighted to have been able to secure the services of Paul and Ritchie and look forward to them taking the club forwards as we prepare to return again to our home ground at Beaconsfield Road in the very near future. They have an excellent record whilst at Kings Langley, and we hope that they can continue this at Hayes & Yeading United."
