Cup sponsorship up for grabs

By David Watters

The hunt is on to secure new sponsors for the EVO-STIK League Southern's Challenge Cup.

With the 2016-17 competition's first round kicking off in early October, officials at the EVO-STIK League's Southern's HQ in Gloucester are looking to team up with a new commercial partner to tap into the competition's long history and wide appeal.

Last season's winners Merthyr Town are pictured being presented with the competition's magnificent Worcester Vase and the EVO-STIK League Southern are now inviting businesses and organisations interested in tapping into the competition's long history and wide appeal across a vast geographical area to come forward.

A spokesman said: "The new sponsor can expect good exposure of its name on the league website, our Twitter account and throughout the various press and media organisations covering our 68 clubs.

"The EVO-STIK League Southern's geography covers a large area of southern England, the Midlands, the South West and Wales so the sponsor can look forward to enjoying wide exposure of their branding."

Founded in 1894, the EVO-STIK League Southern is one of the oldest and most respected competitions in the game with three divisions playing at Steps 3 and 4 of the Non-League pyramid. More than 25 millions people live and work within the league's geographical boundaries with hundreds of news and media organisations covering the action of its members clubs.

For further information, potential sponsors should contact either EVO-STIK League Southern chairman Terry Barrat at chairman@southern-football-league.co.uk or EVO-STIK League Southern secretary Jason Mills at secretary@southern-football-league.co.uk.
