Culverhouse Expecting Two Tough Tests

Ian Culverhouse is expecting two tough tests in a hectic 48 hour spell for his side this weekend as they look to extend their superb start to the season.

With Frome Town at The Walks on Saturday and a trip to near neighbour’s St Ives Town on Bank Holiday Monday, Culverhouse knows his men will be up for the challenge.

Speaking to the clubs official website, Culverhouse said "We know it’s going to be a stiff examination of ourselves over a short period of time but it’s part and parcel of football and a time for the fans to savour and enjoy. We gave a professional account of ourselves last weekend at Dorchester Town and came back with the points.

"However I know we can do better and we have to if we want to maintain the standards I have set the players. We need to be taking more of the chances we are creating when we are dominating the play and I will be putting that message across in the training this week.

"Frome Town haven’t had the best of starts to the season but no doubt they will improve and maybe will come here feeling they have a point to prove. It’s a long trip for them and you know they will not be coming all the way up here to make up the numbers.

"Make no mistake I’m expecting a good game and It’s good to be back in front of our own supporters again. They were superb on the opening day and it would be nice to see them showing their support to the lads on Saturday’.

"We know St Ives Town is a tough place to go to and bring home a result. I remember our trip there towards the end of last season when we never turned up. We let ourselves and the fans down that day and I don’t want to be doing that on Monday again.

"Basically though it’s all about us and what we do and how we conduct ourselves. We will need our top game on the day. If we turn up and produce that I can ask no more of any of the lads’.

Michael Gash and Ryan Fryatt are both being monitored and It’is hoped they will both be able to take some part in the weekend fixtures.
