Myles White, the owner of new sponsors TM Autos Ltd, watched Barum as a boy while growing up in Devon before moving to the Midlands.
Pictured with the EVO-STIK League South West club's chairwoman Jasmine Chesters after his online car parts store agreed a two year deal to sponsor Mill Road, White told fans on Tuesday: "I have so many memories of watching Barnstaple Town during my childhood. The club really did encourage my love of football.
"Grassroots football clubs such as this have a special role to play in their local communities, encouraging participation in sport and a sense of community amongst residents. I am delighted to support Barnstaple Town Football Club as it continues to develop over the next few years."
The sponsorship boost was announced as Chesters and other delighted officials at the 113-year-old club pushed on with a summer makeover of their ground and facilities, the revamp including the erection of a much needed new stand for the upcoming 2017-18 campaign.
"After promotion in 2015-16, the club is now firmly established in our new league which is a great achievement for all concerned," said Chesters. "Sponsors like TM Autoparts give a much needed boost to our resources, allowing us to look to future plans with greater confidence."
Established by White in 1984 and based in Rushden, Northamptonshire, TM Autos provide car parts and accessories to trade and retail clients across the UK. For more information visit: www.tmautoparts.co.uk.
