City get Busy

Player-manager Craig Davis has signed 6 new players: Brad Gale, Jake Rawkins, Matt Andrews, Ty Mitford, Reece Rusher and Connor Cocklin.

Rusher is a right winger who returns to City for a second spell, having also spent time at Bemerton Heath Harlequins and Salisbury FC.

Cocklin is a defender who originally played for AFC Bournemouth’s academy however has since served for Gosport Borough, Wimborne Town and Andover.

Central midfielder Gale previously played for Poole Town and Hamworthy United, but actually played a couple of times for Winchester last season on dual registration with Verwood.

Rawkins is a forward who joins from Bemerton Heath Harlequins and was previously with Gosport.

Andrews is also a forward who spent the latter part of last season with Bosham after being with Fareham.

Centre forward Ty Mitford was released by Queens Park Rangers in May 2015 after playing for their under-18s but he still played a vital part in Team Solent’s FA Vase cup run.

Re-signing with Craig Davis are Harvey Clark, Callum Kitcher, Josh Harfield, Danny King, Oli Bailey, Ben Sunley, Josh Tombs, Josh Corner, Ryan Pryce, Jamie Barron, Rob Carr and Joe Hayward.
