Cherries stopper is back at Stags

AFC Totton have welcomed Bournemouth keeper Pat O’Flaherty back to the Testwood Stadium and the EVO-STIK League Southern.

The Cherries U21 keeper enjoyed a loan spell with the Stags in 2015 and spent a large part of last season in ‎EVO-STIK League Southern League Division One South & West on a second loan spell with Wimbourne Town.

AFC Totton manager Louis Langdown returned to his former club to bring in O'Flaherty who earned a new one-year deal with the Premier League club for the 2016-17 campaign on the back of his form with the Magpies last term. He joins fellow Cherries loanees Curtis Young, Connor York and Tyler Cordner in Langdown's squad.

A Stags spokesman said: "We can today announce that we have signed Pat O’Flaherty, a goalkeeper, from AFC Bournemouth on loan. He enjoyed a loan spell at the Testwood Stadium in 2015 and he has also had two loan spells at Wimborne Town, so he knows what our league is all about. Welcome to the Stags Pat."

The teenage stopper could make his second debut for the third from bottom Stags on Saturday at Wimbourne Town if selected.
