Castle hails his comeback kings

EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central champions Royston Town have been hailed by their manager Steve Castle after coming from two goals down to kick off their championship party.

Castle heaped praise on his Crows after they overturned a 2-0 half-time deficit at Garden Walk on Easter Saturday to win 5-2 with the Ducks threatening to spoil their promotion party and post-match trophy presentation in front of more than 500 fans at their Hertfordshire home.

Hailing his side as "fitting champions" ahead of their trip to Arlesey Town on Easter Monday, the jubilant Crows boss said: "These fantastic lads got themselves back into their incredible performance levels pretty quickly and from there on in the 'party' could start!

"All the boys have been superb all season. They knew they had let themselves down but with the resilience shown all season, this brilliant bunch turned it around and made the day fitting of the champions they are! Everyone is so proud of them and their achievements."
