Caretaker will see season out

Interim manager Craig Martin will guide Feet Town until the end of the EVO-STIK League Southern campaign.

Appointed nearly two weeks ago as the temporary successor to Craig Davis following his departure to EVO-STIK League Southern and Hampshire rivals Winchester City, the club's assistant manager agreed to see out the season before his side's narrow 1-0 reverse at Chalfont St Peter on Saturday.

After suffering successive league defeats since taking charge of the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central's Blues, Martin, pictured, will be hoping for a case of third time lucky on Tuesday night at Basingstoke's Camrose when his side meet the Wessex League's Tadley Calleva FC in the North Hants Senior Cup final.

In a statement confirming his appointment, a spokesman said: "During this interim period the club will continue to formulate plans for the future, both on and off the pitch. More details regarding any appointments for the coming season will be provided in due course."

Former AFC Totton and Bashley midfielder Davis left Calthorpe Park after six years at the helm to succeed to Ian Saunders at the Citizens. The player-boss had already agreed in principle to switch to the EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One South & West at the start of next season to work alongside Saunders as head coach.
