Bulls chaplain mourned by many

Hereford FC are mourning the passing of the EVO-STIK League Southern club's chaplain Shaun Skinner.

The Bulls supporter, pictured, passed away on Wednesday after finally losing a long battle with cancer. Diagnosed in 2007 with a brain tumour, he completed numerous fundraising challenges before his death after originally been given only four years to live.

Last year his most recent efforts for charity Brainstrust saw him complete a mammoth man versus food eating challenge to raise £1000 on his online fundraising page. The EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West leaders paid tribute to their late chaplain in a statement on their official website and social media channels.

The club said: "We are saddened to hear that club chaplain Shaun Skinner has passed away after a long battle with a brain tumour. We would like to send our condolences to Shaun’s family and friends at this very sad time.

"Shaun has always been a big supporter of Hereford FC and he will be sorely missed. We’d like to thank him for his help and support since becoming chaplain."
