Bulls boss has great expectations

Peter Beadle's only target for his Hereford side when they kick off in the EVO-STIK Southern League this weekend is to be up top challenging.

Expectations are high after Hereford won the treble last term in the Midland League under the Bulls boss but missed out a fourth trophy, losing the FA Vase final to Morpeth Town at Wembley.

Hereford are also the favourites of many pundits for success over the coming campaign and that’s down in part to fan power. Backed fantastically well home and away last season, they have sold nearly 1,300 season tickets already.

Beadle, pictured, knows those fans want to see more success and that means another push for promotion in the EVO-STIK League Southern's South & West Division.

AFC Totton away are first up this Saturday and Beadle said: “The problem is that we’re going into the unknown – we don’t know what’s around the corner so it's hard to call.

“I would like to think the team can be up there challenging. The crowds were wonderful last season and hopefully they’ll back us again but them being there is no guarantee of success.

“You never really know how it’s going to go but we’re looking forward to testing ourselves and pushing the club forward.”
