The Saints wished the 22-year-old former Peterborough forward well on Tuesday in a brief statement on the club's Twitter account confirming he was spending the week at St Andrews training with the Championship giants and hoping to impress Blues boss Gianfranco Zola and his coaching team.
Scouts from a growing number of Football League and Championship clubs have been flocking to see Brown in action and the interest hasn't surprised Saints staff or their fans. Since his arrival from EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Stamford AFC at the end of December, the skillful forward has scored 11 goals in 11 games including two hat-tricks in successive outings last month.
As well as Posh and Stamford, the Jamaican has also turned out for Barton Rovers, Arlesey Town, Wingate & Finchley and Kettering Town before arriving at Rowley Park to play in the EVO-STIK League Southern's top flight.
