Boro take battle onto airwaves

Farnborough chairman Simon Gardener has been on the BBC talking about his EVO-STIK League Southern club's year long battle against vandals.

The Boro chairman spoke to BBC Surrey's Breakfast Show on Saturday following the latest incident at Cherrywood Road on Thursday 29 December when vandals are believed to have used sledgehammers to smash up concrete walls and a toilet block, causing £15,000 worth of damage, pictured.

Gardener publised the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central Division club's plight after the Hampshire club was forced to fork out £25,000 in 2016 to put right 20 incidents of vandalism at their home.

With no money available to replace the destroyed toilet block, Boro fan Gary Thornton has set up a GoFundMe page with a donations target of £1,000 to pay for rebuilding and repairs.
