Beaconsfield Town moved level on points with AFC Rushden & Diamonds at the top of the Evo-Stik League South East table following a hard-earned 1-0 win against sixth-placed Moneyfields.
The Hampshire side`s first visit to Holloways Park saw a disappointing gate of just 89 brave the wet and cold just off the M4.
But those who did bother to make the effort to attend saw an entertaining affair between two fairly evenly-matched teams who tried hard in difficult conditions.
In the end, Bajram Pashaj`s goal on the half-hour mark proved enough for Beaconsfield to make it just one defeat in sixteen matches and a fourth successive three-point haul.
In contrast, this was Moneyfields` third defeat in a row and fifth overall without a win.
