Dave Griffiths was delighted with Barnstaple Town’s performance as they stretched their unbeaten run to four games.
On Tuesday night, Barum played their first match in over two weeks when they travelled to Paulton Rovers, where goals from Billy Hopcroft and Niall Heeney helped them to a 2-1 win.
The win lifted Town out of the bottom two, and joint-manager Griffiths hailed his side’s effort.
“Fantastic result for us,” he said. “We played really well throughout the 90 minutes which was one of those performances I keep on about.
“And with the pitches being a lot firmer our young lads are coming into their own again. We really did play well again last night. It was a 90 minute effort. Right way through the team everyone was outstanding last night.
“It’s quite an intimidating place up there but it was a great result.”
