Banbury United Community Sponsor

The board of Banbury United Football Club are delighted to announce that SMR Projects Ltd will continue to sponsor the club for the 2017-18 season.

The deal, worth a five figure sum to the club, will mean SMR Projects being known as the club’s Premier Community Club Sponsor for the forthcoming season.

The company based in Banbury continue to expand and are in the process of moving to a new HQ building on Beaumont Close. SMR Projects Ltd are the UK Distributors for the state of the art Xypex concrete waterproofing system and have undertaken projects that include The Shard and Battersea Power Station Regeneration. SMR Managing Director Mike Finch commented on the news and said “I’m delighted to be able to support the club and the playing squad moving into the 2017-18 season and look forward to seeing the club progress further.”

Banbury United’s Commercial Director, Mark Allitt was quick to praise SMR’s continued sponsorship and added “Mike is 100% behind what we’re doing at Banbury United and it’s great to have SMR back on board with us as we look to build on last season’s top 6 finish. Mike’s also been a big support to us during our summer recruitment campaign as we’ve looked to improve the squad.”
The partner sponsorship will involve SMR having pitch side advertising at the ground and in the match day programme with the added acknowledgement of being known as the clubs Premier Community Club Sponsor.

Club Chairman Ronnie Johnson was delighted with the deal reached with SMR and said “Mike Finch is a great friend and sponsor of the club, his company is expanding in our community and to have SMR alongside us again at this present moment in time is very good news for Banbury United.”
