This is Tiverton’s second visit to Banbury in the space of five days and the third meetin in eight days! It was a dramatic finale to the game on Tuesday against tomorrow’s visitors which saw Banbury snatch a winner in extra time to progress to the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy where we will travel to play fellow Southern League Premier Division side Farnborough next Saturday.
But despite getting the better of Tiverton in the FA Cup back in September and in the FA Trophy we know we will be in for a difficult game again tomorrow in the quest for league points.
For they have made a good start to their first season back in the Premier Division, following six seasons at Division One level.
Tiverton currently occupy seventh place, one place above Banbury ,albeit the Devon side have played one game more.
They have already notched three away league wins this season at Bishops Stortford, St Ives Town and Frome Town so have shown good form away from Ladysmead.
With Leading league goalscorer is Levi Landricombe up front scored both their goals when we beat them 4-2 here in the FA Cup earlier this season and both their goals here on Tuesday and one would expect him to cause more problems for our defence tomorrow afternoon.
Can expect another tight match..
