Taunton Town made it fifteen league games unbeaten and an eight-point lead at the top of the Evo-Stik League South West table after a 1-0 victory over Mangotsfield United at Cossham Street on Tues night.
The only goal of the game was scored in the 12th minute by Dan Sullivan with a dipping shot.
Both goalkeepers, the Mangos` George Dorrington and the Peacocks` Lloyd Irish, made fine saves to prevent any further scoring in the first half.
Taunton dominated the second half but could not add to their tally.
The evening`s other game saw Cirencester Town move to thirteenth in the table after beating an out-of-form North Leigh side, for whom this was a seventh game without a win.
The hosts had a great start when Ben Whitehead struck in the opening minute.
And the same player doubled Ciren`s lead 14 minutes later.
Ben Green reduced the deficit a minute before the break, with Tom Anderson making sure the points stayed at the Corinium Stadium with a third goal in the 83rd minute.
