Zubar Agrees To Stay With Terras

Defender Stephane Zubar has agreed terms with Evo-Stik League South Premier club Weymouth for the 2018/19 season.

Zubar returned to the club from a spell at Yeovil prior to the 2-0 win at home to Biggleswade Town on November 11th.

He began his career at Caen but was released after loan spells at Championnat National club Pau and Belgian First Division side Brussels.

He spent the 2009/10 season with Romanian Liga I club Vaslui awho won the 2010 Cupa României Final.

Zubar signed for Plymouth Argyle in November 2010 and moved on to AFC Bournemouth in September 2011.

He was loaned out to Bury in January 2013, Port Vale in September 2014 and York City in November 2014.

He returned to York on loan in August 2015 but returned to AFC Bournemouth after he suffered a cruciate ligament injury.

He was released by the Cherries at the end of 2015/16 season and signed for the Terras and was made club captain during the 2016/17 season, scoring an extra-time winner in the Dorset Senior Cup final in April 2017.

In the summer of 2017 Zubar left to seek professional football with Yeovil before returning to the Terras in November 2017.

The Guadeloupean has scored one goal for the Terras since his return and has been a key player in their defence that helped them to a fifth-place finish.
