Murs, who played for Ryman League Witham Town before shooting to fame on the X-Factor after injury cut short his playing career, is heavily involved with Lynn's opponents and posed for pictures with fans after the goalless draw in the Eastern Counties League Division One.
One of the most recognisable faces in the British music industry since finishing as runner-up in the sixth series of The X-Factor in 2009, 32-year-old was on touchline at The Walks alongside his uncle and assistant manager John Pollard and chairman and manager Graeme Smith.
The football-mad singer signed for the current league leaders in April to help get match fit for this year’s Soccer Aid before paying to have the showers at the club fixed! Since then, he has turned out as often as he can for the club who did the double last term by lifting the Essex and Suffolk Border League Cup as well as winning promotion in the Eastern Counties League.
