WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley is set to ring the changes when his side entertain Larkhall Athletic in the third round of the BigFreeBet.com Challenge Cup tonight (7.45pm).
The Terras have reached this stage thanks to a 3-0 win at home against Wimborne Town in the first round followed up by a wonderful chip from Pat Suraci that saw them win at Totton 1-0 to progress to the third round.
Molesley said: “This game has come in very handy, any game we go in and we prepare and we go to win so it will be no different and hopefully we put in a good performance.”
The Terras face a Larkhall side that have seen three of their last seven games postponed and got to this stage thanks to a 2-1 win away at Cirencester Town and a dramatic 4-3 success at Salisbury in the second round.
The Terras are set to make a host of changes tonight as they eye an opportunity to improve the match fitness of some of their players.
Molesley said: “This cup game has come in at a good time so we can start to get the match fitness back into the ones who are a little bit behind.”
Molesley points towards the Terras’ heavy run of fixtures they have had, with five games since December 16 and they face five more before the end of the month after Larkhall.
Molesley said: “There will be a lot of changes because we have had a lot of games, a lot of lads have had a lot of games in a short space of time and we have got a hell of a lot of games coming up.
“This is coming into probably our busiest period,we are on the road five times in the next four weeks I think so it is time to rest a few of the ones and the other ones to catch up their match fitness so it has come at a good time for us.”
