Webb returns to Beaconsfield

By David Simpson

Evo-Stik League South Premier club Slough Town have announced that Nathan Webb has re-joined Evo-Stik League South East neighbours Beaconsfield Town.

The 25-year-old midfielder joined the Rebels in July 2015.

He is a player that joint bosses Neil Baker and Jon Underwood were interested in for some time, having played against Slough numerous times for Beaconsfield SYCOB and Burnham.

Webb started out at Hayes & Yeading United in their youth team, and made the step up to the first-team as a 17-year-old playing in the Conference (National League).

He then had spells at Farnborough and Wealdstone, before moving to Beaconsfield initially on loan.

He has had a frustrating time of late with a lack of competitive starts, and having had a few conversations with him, we all feel it is in his best interest to get a number of games under his belt.

Joint boss Neil Baker said: “Webby is a great lad and a very good player, and with the communication of all three parties, we felt it would be right at this stage to make it a one-month arrangement and then review”.
