Redditch United will be looking to bounce back from their narrow away defeat to Biggleswade Town and continue their six-match home unbeaten run when The Reds entertain Royston Town at The TRICO on Saturday (3pm KO) in an Evo-Stik South - Premier clash.
Reds' boss, Tim Harris, admitted that while the playing conditions were tough at The Carlsberg Stadium, his players paid the ultimate price for a sloppy mistake - losing out to a Jack Bowen goal in a 1-0 reverse - and that adapting to playing away from The TRICO is the key to rectifying their away form.
"We've only won three away fixtures this season and lost 12 - that's something we obviously need to fix for now and next season. We need to work harder on a game plan when we visit teams, especially this time of year when pitches are heavy or uneven."
Harris is confident, though, that his squad can replicate their excellent home form when on their travels. The Reds have not lost on home turf in 2018, and the gaffer believes the quality is shining through in front of the home faithful:
"We have bags of quality in our squad; the supporters have watched exhilarating goals, excellent performances and results to back them up. With the performances at home, along with the great facilities we have at The TRICO, I hope we can put on another show for our fans on Saturday - weather permitting, of course!"
Saturday's visitors to The TRICO, Royston Town, sit in ninth spot in the table and are six points off the play-off spots. Despite away losses to Weymouth and Kings Langley, victories at home against Kettering Town and Frome Town on the road have them kept in contention for promotion this season.
Among The Crows' squad is former Cambridge United, Stevenage and Lincoln City striker, Adam Marriott. The 26-year-old has scored 20 goals in 31 appearances this season.
