Matt Clements has warned his St Neots Town players that they are in for a shock in training this week.
Clements last week told his side not to let their season fizzle out after falling to a third defeat in a row at Basingstoke Town last week.
The Saints boss was left even more frustrated following Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Merthyr Town and promised a shake-up in training this week.
“We weren’t unlucky – we got what we deserved, and it was a reality check,” he said. “We had two drop out through illness and for personal reasons after picking the 14 man-squad on Thursday, which means we only travelled with 12, but that’s no excuse.
“We’ve had six players unavailable for the past few week in fact, but I’m more concerned with how much our performances have dropped. There’s been a casualness showing this week and last week which is unacceptable.
“I’m embarrassed for the fans as they have been short-changed by our last few performances, and they deserve a team with then honesty and desire to go out and try to win a game. Things will be changing, 100 per cent they will.
