Walnuts looking to extend good form

A nice habit..

Kempston Rovers Manager Jimmy Stoyles speaks about the current form ..

“Fundamentally, we’re playing better. We’ve changed the shape and gone for a more aggressive formation; more physical midfield and we’ve got two or three key players back in the side now that were missing. Every club has its key men that make their side and ours is no different. You can’t play well without your best players and you can’t win if you don’t play well consistently.”

Stoyles was also spoke about his players; “Jordan (Lee) has been a fantastic signing, (recently arrived from Soham Town Rangers) there’s competition for places all over the field now, which is good, you want that as a manager.

Stoyles acknowledged that the ‘derby’ aspect of the local games this season is more for the supporters. “We prepare for every game the same, derbies and rivalries don’t come in to it for us. That is up to the fans and we love it when the atmosphere is special, all the boys, the Nuts on Tour and the Supporters Club, you do great things and the players love it.”

We concluded as Jimmy took a philosophical turn. “Winning is a habit, and now we’re doing better in both boxes than we were before. Midfield is where you win the battle, but if we’re not conceding as many at one end and we are putting some (goals) away at the other, we’re going to be alright. We’ve got a competitive squad and we want to push on and do the best we can to the end of the season.”
