Vice Chairman Steps Down

By David Simpson

Club Statement

Mangotsfield United Chairman Mike Richardson has confirmed today that Vice-Chairman Bob Jenkins has stood down from the position and will be having no active part in the Club, this coming season.

Bob has been with the club since February 2012, and whilst it will not come as a surprise to many at Cossham Street - this has been rumoured for some time - it is still a big shock and leaves a big hole to be filled.

We are not just losing Bob, but his Family as well. Wife Fran, and daughters, Sue & Kerry . All have played a HUGE part over the last six years, running the Social side of the club, the Tea-bar, and organising after match events and supporting travel to away games. In fact, their total involvement is really too numerous to mention.

The Club owes a big debt of gratitude to all of the Jenkins Family for their tireless efforts. We hope that they will not be strangers and come along to Cossham Street from time to time.

Thanks Bob & Family. You will all be greatly missed!
