Tuesday's South & West action review

By David Watters

Only the game at Jubilee Park between Evesham United and Wantage Town in the EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One South & West survived Tuesday night's wet weather, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

And Paul Collicutt`s side took full advantage by beating the second-bottom Alfredians to move into second spot and to within eight points of leaders Hereford FC.

But they had to receive a wake-up call when Mark Francis gave the visitors a 25th minute lead. Mark Magee and Liam Harding though had United in front by half-time.

Magee added his second just past the hour-mark and a Lance Smith brace on 71 and 73 minutes made it a nap hand for the hosts.
