The Bulls won 3-0 at fifth-placed Swindon Supermarine in front of a terrific crowd of 823 at the WebbsWood Stadium.
Mike Symons bagged a brace for Hereford, but his second didn`t arrive until a minute from the end of normal time after his 39th minute opener. Pablo Haysham added a third from the penalty spot in stoppage time.
Second-placed Tiverton Town edged out a Mangotsfield United side who started the evening in third.
Levi Landricombe gave Tivvy an early fifth minute lead that Kerry Morgan cancelled out 11 minutes later. New loan signing Olly Mehew put his dad David`s side in front from the spot in the 56th minute. But Michael Landricombe on 65 minutes and Scott Rogers on 74, turned the game in the home side`s favour.
Shortwood United moved above Mangotsfield into third after hammering bottom-markers Wantage Town 7-1 at home.
It was 3-0 at the break through a Ryan Elliott own goal, Will Morford and Jake Lee. Jake Freeman added a fourth on 55 minutes and, after Mark Francis` 73rd minute penalty reply for the Alfredians, there was another own goal. Antonio Alcaraz-Zamora then struck before a second from Lee wrapped up the rout.
Second-bottom Bridgwater Town conceded five without reply at Barnstaple Town, whose Jack Jenkins and Aaron Harper-Penman both bagged braces with James Blake sandwiching them.
Third-bottom AFC Totton were edged out 3-2 at Didcot Town, whose Adam Learoyd, Jordan Graham and Sam Barder outgunned Pat Wilson and Mike Gosney`s spot-kick.
Taunton Town won 5-1 at Yate Town, who led through Luke Bryan`s 49th minute opener.
But that acted as a wake-up call for the Peacocks, whose Shane White levelled from the spot six minutes later. A goal from Craig Veal and a Matt Wright brace followed before White bagged his second near the end.
The West Country blitz continued with Bideford winning 4-0 at Wimborne Town, courtesy of Will Tucker, Jamie Richards, Kevin Squire and Angus Wilson – all after half-time.
