Tuesday's Premier Division action review

By David Watters

There was only one match in the EVO-STIK League Southern's Premier Division on Tuesday night but it was an important one concerning the bottom end of the table, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Cinderford Town are virtually doomed to the drop after suffering a 5-0 hammering at Holloways Park by a Hayes & Yeading United outfit who are now fourth-bottom and only a point behind the safety-mark.

United took and early eighth minute lead, courtesy of a penalty from David Hutton. Ten minutes later it was 2-0 through Frankie Jones. And then the second half belonged to Wealdstone loanee Sahr Kabba, who helped himself to a hat-trick with goals in the 62nd, 72nd and 74th minutes.

Hayes & Yeading now have fifth-bottom Kings Langley in their sights.

It would be an irony if they were to go down at United`s expense, given the fact that Kings` Southern Division One Central title-winning management team of Paul Hughes and Richie Hanlon, along with several players, are now at United!
