Tuesday's Premier Division action review

Slough travelled to struggling St Neots Town looking to put pressure on second-placed Leamington but the Rebels had to make do with a share of the spoils as the Saints moved six points clear of the relegation places.

It started well for the visitors though when Simon Dunn put them in front after 19 minutes. And that looked like being enough to take the points back to Berkshire – until the much-in-demand Javani Brown grabbed an 88th minute equaliser from the penalty spot.

The Rebels had a great chance to win it four minutes into stoppage time when they were awarded a spot-kick of their own when James Dobson was brought down but he got up to fire his pen way over the bar.

Banbury moved to within three points of the top five after a 1-0 Spencer Stadium win over the team immediately below them but now seven points behind them, Chesham United, a 68th minute goal from Callum White earning the Puritans all three points.

Kings Langley now have a five-point cushion between them and fourth-bottom Hayes & Yeading United after winning a relegation `six-pointer` at home against now third-bottom Cambridge City.

Kieran Turner headed Kings Langley into a 49th minute lead and the crucial points were settled when Steve Ward netted a second for the hosts on the breakaway five minutes into stoppage time.

Hayes & Yeading moved above Cambridge after sharing a goalless draw with mid-table Weymouth at Holloways Park, Terras` Stuart Fleetwood hitting a post in a game devoid of many opportunities.

The evening`s other game saw Dunstable Town end an eight-game run without a win with a 2-0 success against Stratford Town at Creasey Park.

Danny Talbot, son of former Arsenal, Ipswich and England midfielder Brian, bagged both goals for the Duns in the 35th and 51st minutes. Stratford have, however, a comfortable ten-point lead over the relegation places.
