Tuesday's Premier Division action review

By David Watters

Chippenham Town moved into third place in the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division at Hardenhuish Park on Tuesday night after completing a 2-0 win against in-form Weymouth, despite being down to ten-man, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The Terras came into the game on the back of a run of eight league games unbeaten, while the Bluebirds were only marginally behind them, having not lost since November 22 in the league.

It was goalless at the break in front of a crowd of 382 but the home fans were stunned on the hour-mark when they saw their side reduced to ten-men when former Weymouth player Rhys Baggridge saw red card.

But it acted as a spur to the hosts as they broke the deadlock through Matt Smith after 76 minutes. And they confirmed victory and a move from fifth to third, courtesy of a second from David Pratt three minutes from time.

Tuesday`s only other league game saw Kings Langley make it three unbeaten against inconsistent hosts Dunstable Town at Creasey Park.

The home side opened the scoring on the half-hour mark through David Longe-King. Three minutes before the break, Steve Ward pulled Kings back on level terms. And Jorell Johnson`s second after 65 minutes sealed the visitors win.
