Tuesday's Evo-Stik South West Round-Up

By Jack Moore

Bishops Cleeve are still searching for their first win of the Evo-Stik League South, West season after going down to a ninth defeat in ten matches at home to Bideford on Tuesday night.

And Cleeve probably missed the best chance they`ve had so far of breaking their duck as the Devonians finished the game with only nine men!

The visitors had a nightmare journey after a dreadful crash on the M5 held them up.

But they shook off any coach fatigue quickly by taking an early 7th minute lead through Ryan Turner.

However, Bideford went down to ten-men after Ben Seymour was sent-off in 35th minute.

Nine minutes later though, the ten-men pulled 2-0 ahead through Billy Tucker.

The visitors went down to nine players in the 76th minute when Craig Veal was shown red.

And Cleeve did manage an 88th consolation from Romayne Thomas, but the nine-men held firm.

Cinderford Town moved up to twelfth place after Lewis Bamford`s 31st minute effort eventually proved enough for the Foresters at tenth-placed Wimborne Town.

Winchester City were looking to go third when they hosted lowly Paulton Rovers.

But they had to settle for a point, despite leading through Rob Carr`s goal right on half-time.

Jack Ball grabbed Rovers's equaliser with a neat finish 2 minutes into time added on at the end of the game.
