Tuesday's Central Division action review

By David Watters

AFC Dunstable moved up to fourth place in the EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One Central table on Tuesday night after winning 2-1 at The Pavex Stadium against Potters Bar Town, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The evening`s only league game saw top scorer Bernie Christie break the deadlock to give AFC Dunstable a 48th minute lead when he latched onto a poor clearance and his half-hit shot somehow slipped under Potters Bar keeper Ravan Constable.

The Scholars were back on level terms though just past the hour-mark when striker Michael Murray`s effort took a big deflection to wrong foot visiting keeper Ricky Perks.

But Christie restored the visitors` lead with 15 minutes to go with another goal that Constable will be disappointed in conceding. Christie now has 11 goals in all competitions.
