Second-placed Farnborough lost 1-0 at Marlow, whose Marcus Mealing scored the only goal 16 minutes from time, allowing Ashford Town (Middx) to move level on points in third after a 2-0 success at Love Lane against Petersfield Town, courtesy of Dan Fleming after 56 minutes and Mark Bitmead 12 minutes from time.
They moved above fellow newcomers AFC Kempston Rovers, who were beaten 3-2 at home by Aylesbury United, who are now eighth.
Danny Watson gave the Walnut Boys a 13th minute lead that Jake Bewley levelled 14 minutes later. Watson restored the home side`s lead eight minutes before the break but Lea Coulter after 50 minutes and Sonny French on 66 turned the game in the Ducks` favour.
Histon remain win-less after going down 2-1 at the Glassworld Stadium to Potters Bar Town, whose Lamar Simpson scored in the 8th minute.
That was that until two minutes into stoppage time at the end of the game when Michael Murray doubled the Scholars` lead, with Elkanah Sibanda netting a stoppage time consolation for the Stutes.
It was goalless between Uxbridge and Kidlington at Honeycroft while a Garry Malone own goal in the first half and a Joakim Ehui strike in the second won it for Northwood at Chalfont St Peter.
James Faulkner bagged a brace for Aylesbury FC at home to Beaconsfield SYCOB, whose Callum Bunting did likewise. But the Moles won it, thanks to Adam Dickens` 29th minute opener.
Will Turl and Courtney Austin were on target for Hanwell Town at Arlesey Town, whose Arel Amur had opened the scoring, in the 2-1 win.
Elsewhere, Fleet Town and Egham Town shared a 2-2 Calthorpe Park draw in which Dan Williamson`s own goal and Brendan Matthew`s second had the Sarnies two-up by the 19th minute, only for the hosts to fight back with two goals in the final 13 minutes from boss Craig Davis and Rob Carr.
