Top Three All Win In Evo-Stik South East

The top three in the Evo-Stik League South East all won on Saturday, so it`s as you were, with AFC Rushden & Diamonds holding a two-point lead over AFC Dunstable and three over Beaconsfield Town.

Diamonds extended their unbeaten run in the league to thirteen games as they won 4-0 at Calthorpe Park against Fleet Town.

Diamonds took an early 6th minute lead when Ben Farrell curled home a 20-yard effort.

The visitors doubled their advantage 2 minutes before the break when the appropriately-named Ben Diamond headed home Luke Fairlamb’s cross.

And two goals in the space of 6 second half minutes around the hour-mark from Joel Gyasi and Fairlamb with a free-kick wrapped up a comfortable win for the visitors.

AFC Dunstable were 3-1 winners at tenth-placed Ashford Town (Middx), taking a 37th minute lead through BJ Christie.

But Max Herbert`s 64th minute equaliser looked like earning the Ash Trees a point, until Jermaine Hall popped up with a brace in the final 8 minutes to seal the away win.

Beaconsfield enjoyed a good best-of-five goal win against fellow top six contenders, Cambridge City.

Star of the show for the hosts was Aaron Minhas, who netted a hat-trick in the 51st, 81st and 86th minutes – Ryan Sharman on 56 minutes and James Hall on 76 minutes replying for City.

City dropped to fifth as Hayes & Yeading United moved above them following a 1-0 win at Thame United.

Ismael Ehui`s goal 5 minutes into the second half proved decisive.

Moneyfields cling on to sixth spot but were beaten 3-0 at lower mid-table Marlow.

The hosts led at the break, thanks to a 33rd minute Kelvin Bossman effort.

Kameron English added a second 20 minutes from time, with an 81st minute Junaid Bell goal killing the game off as a contest.

Hartley Wintney moved to within three points of Moneys with three games in hand after winning 4-1 at second-bottom Hanwell Town.

Hanwell led 1-0 through Harvey Killeen`s 16th minute effort and 2-1 with a second for Killeen on the half-hour mark after Rowan Vine had equalised a minute earlier.

But goals from Paul Hodges just before the break, Liam Eagle on 74 minutes and Jake Baxter 7 minutes from time sealed the Hampshire side`s win.

Chalfont St Peter are level on points with Hartley Wintney after recording a 2-0 win at Aylesbury FC.

The Moles fell behind to a 38th minute George Beattie goal and Mahlondo Martin added a second 19 minutes from the end.

And Kempston Rovers are just a point further back in ninth after an emphatic 4-1 win at Hillgrounds against mid-table Uxbridge.

Josh Crawley bagged a brace for the Walnut Boys in the 35th and 67th minutes, with Jake Newman sandwiching those on the hour-mark and Luke Heneghan adding the other on 88 minutes, just before a Kevin Warner consolation for the Reds.

A late goal secured three points for Bedford Town at the New Eyrie against Egham Town.

Bedford went in front via a James Peters header on 26 minutes.

Egham equalised in the 64th minute when Brendan Matthews scored from 5 yards out.

The home fans had to wait until the 86th minute to celebrate the winning goal when sub Jemale McKenzie-Lowe fired in a screamer from the edge of the box.

Arlesey Town are looking in deep trouble now after a 3-1 defeat at managerless Northwood left them ten points adrift at the bottom.

Harry Newman opened the Wood scoring after 27 minutes and then a Mesach Williams brace on 32 and 61 minutes sealed victory, despite Tashriq Andrews` reply.

Barton Rovers dropped to third-bottom again after losing 2-0 at Sharpenhoe Road to the team who were below them before kick-off and now above them, Aylesbury United.
