Time to roll sleeves up

We have to earn it

Bulls boss Peter Beadle said that he was ‘hugely disappointed’ following yesterday’s 3-1 loss at Basingstoke, and that his players needed to ‘roll their sleeves up and show people what we’re all about.’

Speaking to the press after the full time whistle, Beadle said “It was hugely disappointing, certainly not good enough, not to the standards that we’ve set, and it’s one of those things that we’ve got to learn from.

It was the first time that The Bulls have suffered back-to-back league defeats since losses to Stourport and Highgate back at the start of the 2015/16 season. “It doesn’t happen very often, it’s not happened for a very long time, but it was more the lacklustre performance. We huffed and puffed and couldn’t seem to get anything going.

The Bulls are still in pole position in the league, but Beadle warned his players that they have to earn the title. “We’re clear by a point still, all is not lost. We have no god given right to be Champions every year, we have to earn it.

“We need to be compact as a unit, we need everyone pushing in the same direction. I totally understand the fans’ feelings after the game, I felt the same way, the players are disappointed as well, but we do care.
