Slough Town made it six games unbeaten to move into sixth place in the Evo-Stik League South Premier on Tuesday night.
The Rebels beat a Dorchester Town side who had won 1-0 against Redditch United last weekend.
Manny Williams opened the scoring for the Rebels in the 8th minute after a spot of pin-ball in the Dorchester box following a corner.
And then right on the stroke of half-time, Matt Lench sent in a low shot after Dorchester fail to clear a deep cross from Ben Harris and it sneaks past a number of defenders and keeper Chris Weale to put the Rebels two ahead.
Slough managed the second half reasonably well and kept a clean sheet to earn all three points.
Banbury United could have gone above Slough had they won at Redditch United, but instead are a point behind the Berkshire outfit following a 2-2 draw.
Redditch took the lead in the 9th minute when a quick break ended with Adam Page shooting from the edge of the area across Jack Harding into the far bottom corner of the net.
In the 50th minute, Banbury drew level Charlie Hawtin`s cross was headed home by Ricky Johnson at the far post.
Banbury proceeded to have much the better of the game and it was no surprise when they took the lead in the 72nd minute when an Elliot Sandy free-kick was headed home by Tom Bradbury from close range.
It looked like the Puritans had done enough to earn the three points but in the 2nd minute of stoppage time, a cross by Page was met by the diving head of Stuart Fleetwood a few yards out to earn Redditch a share of the spoils.
