Terras wary of Waders

Weymouth travel to Biggleswade Town on Saturday afternoon as the promotion race in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier hots up.

The Terras have had an extended break following the 2-0 defeat away to Hereford after last weekend’s game at home to Slough Town was postponed. The Waders also saw their match away to Kings Langley postponed last weekend, their last match being a 1-0 victory at home to Redditch United on 24th February.

Weymouth go into the fixture in good form having won 5 games out of their last 6; Biggeswade Town have been in opposing form to the Terras having only picked up 2 victories in their last 6 league games, a run which includes 4 defeats.

Current Biggleswade Town manager Chris Nunn took over the club in November 2006 when the Waders looked certain to be heading towards relegation from the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.

Nunn quickly turned around Biggleswade Town‘s fortunes leading them to 2 promotions and has cemented their place in the Southern Premier with this being their 5th season in the league. Biggleswade Town finished 7th last season under Chris Nunn‘s stewardship.

A win could see Weymouth jump to 2nd if King’s Lynn Town fail to win at Hereford, although a defeat or a draw for the Terras could see them leapfrogged by Kettering Town if the Poppies win at Gosport Borough.
