Evo-Stik League Premier club Weymouth have signed the experienced James Hayter on a month`s loan from Vanarama National League South side Havant & Waterlooville.

He boasts an illustrious career in the Football League, with over 600 appearances at that level.

He holds the record for the fastest Football League hat-trick ever, and has been on the winning side in three play-off finals.

He began his career as a youth player at AFC Bournemouth, and stayed ten years with the Cherries clocking up 359 appearances and an impressive 93 goals.

In May 2007 he then signed for Doncaster Rovers for a then-club record transfer fee of £200,000, scoring in the 2008 play-off final against Leeds United that saw Doncaster promoted to the Championship.

At Doncaster, Hayter played 162 games and scored 33 goals.

In the summer of 2012 he joined Yeovil Town for a three-season spell, playing 119 games and scoring 25 goals.

He then joined the Hawks in June 2015, appearing in a total of forty-five games last season.

However, he has found his chances limited this term to date, having made six starts and eleven substitute appearances.
