Terras are a TEAM

Mix well

JOSH Carmichael is pleased how he has done in his first season for Weymouth so far but has stressed that it is not about individual performances as the Terras sit second targeting a play-off place in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.

Carmichael has scored four goals in the league so far with his most recent coming in the 3-0 win over Merthyr Town on Saturday.

“I think I have done ok four goals to me is quite a lot so I am quite pleased with that but it is not really about individual performances.

“As a team I feel like we have done really well and we are doing very well so it is a pleasure to be involved with the boys really.”

Weymouth sit second although Kettering Town, Slough Town and Hereford can overtake the Terras should they win their numerous games in hand.

Speaking about their current second place position, which the Terras earned with the 3-0 win away at Merthyr and in which he scored, Carmichael said: “We are definitely feeling pretty good. It has been a good season so far but it is not where we are in the table at the minute, we are looking to just take one game at a time.

“Hopefully we will get into the play-offs come the end of the season, you never know what could happen after that.”

Carmichael signed for Weymouth on a one-year deal in the Summer and joined from current bottom of the table club Gosport Borough.

When asked about it has been at Weymouth so far Carmichael said: “It has been great, I have really really enjoyed it. There was obviously a big change in the Summer in terms of the manager and a lot of the players have obviously changed.

“I knew quite a lot of the lads who were coming to Weymouth and so I knew it was a good choice for me. I knew a few of the lads that were already here, in terms of Charlie Davis.

“All the lads we mix very well I think we are a good bunch of lads. No one is too serious and no one takes the mick, we are very focused at the right times, I do not think we have any big time Charlies in the team. it is a good atmosphere to be around.”
