Taunton Town moved eleven points clear at the top of the Evo-Stik League South West table on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win at third-bottom Barnstaple Town.
It enabled Taunton to extend their unbeaten run in the league to twenty-four matches and they are yet lose away from home this season.
Taunton took the lead in the 14th minute when Craig Veal latched onto a cross by Dan Sullivan before scoring.
Taunton’s second came via an own goal in the 62nd minute when Sam Haynes turned in a corner by Ryan Brett into his own net.
AFC Totton are now `top` of the play-off battle in third spot after beating sixth-placed Swindon Supermarine 3-1 at Testwood Stadium.
Tony Lee gave the Stags a good start with a goal in the 6th minute, only for `Marine to respond within 3 minutes through Brad Hooper.
But Curtis Young restored the home side`s lead on the half-hour mark.
The next goal was crucial – and it was the Stags who eventually got it in the 87th minute from Charlie Gunson.
Bristol Manor Farm leapt back into the play-off frame into fifth after beating bottom-markers Bishops Cleeve 2-0 away.
A Joe Noakes own goal got the visitors` up and running 3 minutes before the break.
Jordan Metters added a second for Manor Farm with 16 minutes remaining.
One of the teams Manor Farm overtook were Bideford AFC after they were held to a 3-3 home draw by lowly Mangotsfield United.
However, this was a sixth game unbeaten for the Mangos – a run which has taken them well clear of trouble.
Craig Allen`s 35th minute opener for the hosts was the only first half goal.
Kane Simpson equalised 5 minutes after the break and Sam Hill then gave the Mangos a 64th minute lead that Kane Simpson stretched to 3-1 just 4 minutes later.
Josh Key reduced the deficit 6 minutes afterwards and a Ben Seymour penalty 10 minutes from time rescued a point for Biddy.
Tuesday`s other game saw Larkhall Athletic win 3-1 at Paulton Rovers.
It wasn`t until the hour-mark that Jack Ball broke the deadlock to give Rovers the lead.
Isaac Pearce equalised 8 minutes later and then Matt Britton put the Larks in front 6 minutes later, with Pearce`s second ensuring victory for the visitors in the 84th minute.
